The BVDM (Printing and Media Industries Federations) offsets its CO₂ emissions

The Printing and Media Industries Federations worked climate-neutral in 2017. This was achieved by measuring its CO₂-footprint with the federations`climate calculator and offset it with climate protection measures taken in the project “Efficient cook stoves in Mali”.

Already ten years ago, the BVDM (Printing and Media Industries Federations) was one of the first trade associations in Germany to demonstrate the possibilities of climate protection in its industry. And even more: with the climate initiative, the Printing and Media Industries Federations actively supports the companies in implementation. Today it is a much-admired provider of climate and environment protection within the industry and beyond.

For three years now, besides product-related emission detection, the climate calculator also calculates the companies CO₂-footprint. This year, the BVDM (Printing and Media Industries Federations) once again measured its CO₂-footprint and offset it.

“We know that more and more customers in our industry take climate protection very seriously“, reports the BVDM (Printing and Media Industries Federations)-Managing Director Dr. Paul Albert Deimel. “Our initiative encourages solidarity for greater sustainability which is in everyone’s interest and at the same time helps printing companies to position themselves as environment-conscious services providers.“
